It’s been another whirlwind week. I can remember waking up on Monday morning and going to the airport. Anything after that was done in autopilot mode! I’m sure I’m going to wake up tomorrow morning with a crick in my neck from the speed at which life is passing me by.
I managed to longarm quilt three quilts. I was project manager to some work we’ve had done on the house on Wednesday and Tuesday I did some work on one of three quilts which I have entered into the quilt display at Pins & Needles and Thursday I was playing shops! I feel like my feet haven’t touched the ground since Monday morning.
Anyway here’s what I’ve been playing with today. You may recognise the fabric collection as I recently quilted another quilt made from this same Pure by Moda. Viv cut her shapes using the GO! Fabric Cutter with the Tumbler Die. I think this shape is very effective. Well done Viv.
I took my funky spotty Dr Martens boots out this morning and I purchased rather interesting today. This whimsical wooden wall plaque is just what I needed to cheer me up today. I plan on using it to keep some of my free motion quilting threads in some kind of order. As you can imagine I have loads of thread, most of which is in cone form but when I’m testing a new thread I buy smaller spools. So this wooden wall plaque can hold the thread that is currently being tested. I purchased this whimsical wall plaque at Just Quilting. Apparently they are made by a local artist. Now all I have to do is find a space to hang it and enjoy.
I think I want to have some fun this weekend. I have plenty chores to be done but I also need to enjoy myself. I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet as you know that no matter what decision I make something will happen to affect that decision. I would like to be able to tick a few more things from my To-Do List but I would also like to play with my embroidery machine. On the other I would like to work on my journal for which I have oodles of crafty supplies ready to be used. If I was really wise I would do some of each. I’ll keep you posted.
For this evening, I think I will work on making hanging pockets for a couple of quilts. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching.

I think I may have met you in Just Quilting today…I came in with my husband and granddaughter (little blonde with curls – her not me). Everyone’s work in there today looked lovely, from what I could see of it. And yours is always stunning. I don’t comment very often but I do read.
Love your new thread holder – sweet.
