Well ever since I started wearing my Ruby Slippers a few days ago life’s been like a whirlwind. I’m not planning a trip to Kansas but I’m beginning to feel like I’ve been there and back!
We kicked off the day with a little fog here on the southeast coast of Northumberland. It was lovely and cool for walking the dogs. Sarah and I headed off to the Hill to have a crafty session with Sandra. What a lovely time we had. Mary and her young creative sidekick Lorna joined us for a fantastic session. We solved all the problems of the world. I did a little Upcycling and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I will show you my crafty creations sometime soon. I love lazy weekends like these. All the stresses of the previous week disappear. Now I feel ready to face the hustle and bustle of the upcoming week.
Today I have a little progress report. I have finally finished my iPad cover. So here are a few photos showing the finished project.
My Sarah selected some fat quarters yesterday so I can make her an iPad cover as well. She has decided on a simpler version. Sarah has opted for a stripy pieced version instead of the appliqué. The best part is I will have another chance to do some Free Motion Quilting again. I can’t wait to have another go.
Well folks it’s been a really great weekend. My Ruby Slippers and I have had a couple of lovely trips out and still managed some quiet time as well. I hope for more weekends like this one thru the summer. It really has been a great weekend. Just what this happy longarm quilter needed before a very busy week.
So for this evening, this very lucky happy longarm quilter will be working on piecing hexagons together. Whatever you may be doing this evening, I hope you’ve had as good a weekend as we have in happy quilter land. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching.

Will you be doing a tutorial on the iPad cover?
