Well it’s true. I said yesterday that I was trying not to plan my week because it never works out. Well today went very well. I didn’t expect to accomplish a whole lot but I’m quite pleased with the way things went.
Today I started working on this…..
I longarm quilted a few of these before it was time to shut down for my appointment. Click on the photo to zoom in for a better look. This design is called Pansy Block by Patricia Ritter.
Unfortunately I never got back to longarm quilting today so I hope to finish this particular quilt early next week.
Last evening I decided to go back to my Scrappy Topeka Rose to work on the hanging pocket. I got the pocket cut out, sewn into a tube, pinned in place and finally secured to the back of the quilt.
Now it hangs on my sewing room door. I’m quite pleased with the finished article. The best part is that it was a free quilt because everything I used was from the scrap bins. So far Use up Your Scraps month has been a success.
This morning after walking the dogs in the dark and taking Sarah to the door to see her off to school this is the sky that greeted us.
Once I saw that lovely pink sky I thought perhaps we would see the sun for a bit but it was not to be. In fact by 11:30 it was snowing again. I suppose it was just a little preview of what we may get this evening. Like last weekend, I’m ready to spend the weekend indoors. I have one or two little scrappy projects I would like to work on which will keep me off the streets. I’m quite looking forward to having a cosy weekend indoors. My Sarah and I might even get to watch a DVD movie together if she’s not too busy with homework. So I guess that’s my little report for today. It’s been another brilliant day.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be recording ideas in a sketchbook for the weekend’s projects. Whatever you may be doing this evening, I hope you’re cosy indoors just like me. Until you read me again, I wish you,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥

Yay! Looks like a great day! I really like your appliqued door hanging. Happy quilting!:)
Thank you. I enjoyed every minute of making this door hanging. I plan on doing it again sometime soon. Thanks for popping in.

I like the pansy block! Snowing on and off all day here – hopefully it will be better at the weekend.
Love Pansy Block Design!
