It’s been another bright day full of useful activities. One of the first things I did was layer this little quilt top ready for a bit of Freemotion Quilting sometime soon, I hope……..
I assembled a few books for quilting inspiration. I think I have worked out what type of design I will be Freemotion Quilting on the little strippy quilt which will be turned into something next weekend. I have so many books and they come in very handy when I’m looking for inspiration. You can never have too many books.
My Sarah and I hit the supermarket to fill the kitchen with enough good food to keep us going thru the week. We seem to be forever running low on fresh fruit and veg. I have long since realised that since starting on a successful slimming programme last September and also because I don’t eat out very often the kitchen has to be well stocked with healthy alternatives. Even my Sarah is eating healthy without being told now …..
I spent a couple of hours getting ready for tomorrow morning’s beginners session. We will continue working on our simple Trip Around the World quilt. And here’s a little scrappy loveliness that I stitched together in the goal of being well prepared for the session. I will show you the rest of the quilt once the beginners have seen and digested it tomorrow.
It’s been another really good productive day. I feel quite pleased with my accomplishments today. It’s going to be a rather busy week for me. Four of my five weekdays are fully booked leaving me only one day to myself but of course the order in which things will unfold will no doubt be different to what I imagined. So I guess I’ll just have to roll with the punches.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be practicing FMQ by doodling on paper to give my brain a preview of what I will stitch soon. Whatever you may be doing this evening, I hope it’s something enjoyably useful. Until your read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥

Looking forward to seeing how you quilt the little strippy quilt! I stitched lots more strips together today to cut more blocks for my scrappy strippy quilt – I am really pleased with how it is progressing!
The white and red fabric is lucious! I have one of those in black!
