Well I’m late posting today. I got carried away quilting today. I spent several hours marking and hand quilting my Simple Trip Around the World. I sat for a long time hand quilting while catching up on shows that I taped over the last few weeks. My Sarah was out so it sure was quiet around here. Hence being able to do so much quilting; I’m keeping the quilting really simple. I’ve used some of my June Tailor Templates, my rotary rulers and chalk pencil to mark the quilting lines on my top. I do have quilting stencils but I couldn’t find anything I wanted to stitch out on this quilt. It’s such a long time since I’ve done any hand quilting but I must say that I am enjoying the process. I’m hoping my beginners are enjoying their quilting journey as much as I am.
While I’ve been revisiting hand quilting again, I realise just how nice it is to go back to where you started. I’ve learned a lot over the years but what has been stamped on my brain is to keep it simple because quite often less it more.
It’s been an interesting day. This morning I made a small but quite manageable To-Do List of what I wanted to do today. And so far I’ve done everything I aimed to do but work on my Lilly Pilly applique project. However I did do things that were not on the list as well. I am beginning to realise that drawing up lists can add unnecessary stress but in this case it helped me to focus and what I thought was a priority. One of the tasks on my To-Do List was to gather up a few supplies for this Thursday’s Quilter on the Hill session. I have selected some black fabric, some luscious Wonderfil thread, some colourful buttons and I may add a few bits of felt to the pile. I will reveal what we’re going to be working on later in the week. There is still one or two places left for this week’s session should you wish to join me on the Hill on Thursday to have a little play with my chosen supplies. All I can say is it’s going to be fun. The lovely Amy will make sure our coffee cups are bottomless and the Alpen light cereal bars are on me.
So I guess that’s my meagre report for today. I’ve had another super day. I look forward to whatever tomorrow might bring. I’m hoping for a dusting of snow………
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on Lilly Pilly. Whatever you may be doing this evening, I hope it’s something very interesting. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥

Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday for more fun at the hill
We’re going to have fun.
