Today’s post is brought to you by the letter F.

Another one of my favourite words is…….
And that’s exactly what today was full of. FUN. I hit the road this morning after determining that the roads were is reasonable shape after the snow we got yesterday. The paths were a little bit slippery underfoot while I was walking the dogs but all in all everything went well. So I wound my way up the Hill to play with my crafty friends and Mixed Media Stitchery. It made a nice change to do hand stitching instead of using the sewing machine. So my goal today was to find out exactly what can be made from a chosen pile of supplies and a simple in-progress sample as a prompt. Here are my participants hard at work.
We shall meet again in a couple of weeks and hopefully have a progress report for you. Here’s a progress photo of mine. I plan on adding a few more bits to this. More beads, more buttons and perhaps a bit more paint…….
We had a lovely session today. We all came to the agreement that we should use more of all the supplies we have accumulated over the years. So for our next project I’m planning a small sampler. We can use whatever we have in our stash. I’m hoping to use different techniques and once again include Mixed Media. It sounds like a great challenge and I’m going to get started tonight. As usual my plan will be simple but can be as ornate as the imagination is willing to make it. And the best part is I get to play with scraps again. How exciting…..
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be putting feet up, recording ideas for my new challenge and doing a little more work on Lilly Pilly. Tomorrow it’s back to the longarm quilting for me. Whatever you may be doing this evening, I hope it’s something that will keep you warm. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥

It looks fabulous – and yes, more using things up!!
