Have you all had a good day? Well it’s been a pretty good day in happy longarm quilter land. The weather hasn’t been that great but that’s ok. I went out this morning to deliver a finished quilt. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have set foot outside. However it was great to spend a little bit of time in the company of like-minded ladies. Catching up with friends and acquaintances keeps me grounded.
I’ve been designing blocks again. I can’t tell you how exciting it is to see my very own designs come to life. And each design is better than the next. All will be revealed sometime in the near future.
In the meantime, I can show you what I’ve done with my Angels Among Us panel by Buggy Barn …….
As I have previously stated, I have decided to keep it simple. So after trimming it and squaring it off I added a couple of simple borders and a few Prairie Points. Tomorrow I plan on sandwiching it and planning the quilting. I’m going to do naïve quilting using Valdani or DMC perle cotton. I’m thinking of adding some Colonial Knots and some embroidered wonky daisies. So I think it’s quite an interesting project although it was quite simple to piece the actual quilt top. I think I like this fabric range because of the colours as well as the words printed on the panel.
So what have you been up to today? Did you have a chance to do a bit of sewing? I thoroughly enjoyed my little sewing session today. I hope to have another little play after loading the next quilt into my quilting system tomorrow.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be either knitting or tacking some applique patches down to the background fabric. I hope you have a lovely cosy Saturday evening doing what you like best. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
