It’s been another rather busy day in happy longarm quilter land today. I did step out to visit the supermarket at 8 o’clock this morning. My early start was followed by a long day in my sewing room working on Anne’s quilt …..
Anne chose a quilting design called Feathered Garden by Irene Steele of Timeless Quilting Designs. I used a lovely fine rich sand colour thread which tones in perfectly. I’m sure you’ll agree that this is a superb design and suits this quilt beautifully. I believe this sampler is the first quilt Anne has made. I’m sure, like most of us, she’s now hooked to quilt making. I think every fat quarter should come with a health warning that patchwork and quilting is addictive! Once you start making quilts you can’t escape the draw.
Something arrived for me this morning. One of my beginner sampler quilt students, Josie, recommended a TV series called Bomb Girls. She won me over when she said that it was set in Canada. So I asked hubby to order it for me. Now I can’t wait to watch it. I’m going to save it for a quiet weekend when I have plenty of hand sewing to do.
The last few months have just flown by. And I haven’t had many quiet outings. So tomorrow I’m going to meet my creative buddy for a coffee and a catch up. We’re going to synchronise our Quilts for Comfort goals. It’s ages since we’ve had a jump on the table from excitement type of meeting. Tomorrow I’m going to try to behave. Well there’s a first time for everything!
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be embroidering some knees for a little blue birdy. You’ll have to wait a bit longer before this current project is revealed. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
