Mondays don’t always come out as I have planned them. I was going to work on adding borders to Eleanor’s quilt today but that didn’t happen. This morning before heading out with hubby to take my little dog Maisie to the vet for her annual booster injection I decided to work on my Film at Five quilt. The plan was to tidy everything away and start work on Eleanor’s quilt when I got home but I thought it would be a waste of time to put everything away to have to take it all out again in the afternoon after loading Eleanor’s quilt into my longarm quilting system. Because I used my time wisely I managed to finish piecing Film at Five and tidied everything away to move on to the next task tomorrow.
I had a bit of company while I was in the sewing room working away this afternoon. This photo isn’t the clearest but you will probably be able to make out four birds on one feeder at the same time. The feeder was swinging back and forth making it difficult to take a clear photo. And this went on all day just outside my window.
I have been participating in A Doodle a Day challenge. My first week is over and I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I don’t claim to be an artist and my doodles aren’t great but I have decided to give my work a chance. I will carry on with the challenge and perhaps I will development my own quirky style. So here are my first seven doodles that I couldn’t wait to hang on the ring……
Thanks to Sandra for inspiring us all to doodle every day. The more we doodle, the more confidence we build up.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on whimsical applique. Whatever you decide to work on this evening, I hope you enjoy yourself. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
