I’m lost. I don’t even know what day of the week it is. My hubby came home last week and his arrival has changed the day to day routine so much that I don’t know whether I’m coming or going. It’s too late to put things straight today but tomorrow I’m going to go back to my normal schedule. So I’m planning on delivering yesterday’s finished quilt to the Quilts for Comfort committee for handing over to the recipient soon. I attached the label this morning so it’s good to go.
We spent most of today running errands. Our family car needed a little help with the air conditioning. So I followed hubby to the car dealer in Miss Daisy first thing and we just carried on from there. We never settled back into our quiet routine until after 2 o’clock this afternoon. It’s quite amazing how much shopping you can fit in a wee Smart car!
The only sewing I’ve done so far today was to attach a quilt label to the back of a quilt. However I did play with freezer paper and fabric on another Whimsical Applique/Stitchery Mystery Block. I’m having fun with this project. It’s brewing in the background nicely. I’m really looking forward to reveal a few more details but we’ll just have to wait a bit longer.
The end of the month is sneaking up on us….. And so this afternoon I made an executive decision about the July theme for “A” is for Applique. Drum roll please.
“A” is for Applique theme for July is …….
Looking out my Window
So the theme for July is Looking out my Window …. I really look forward to seeing what you’ll make of this theme. I picked this theme from all the suggestions I received in May for the June theme. Good luck to everyone who is participating and I hope you enjoy this month’s theme. I feel just as revved up about “A” is for Applique as I did when it first kicked off in April. It’s something that’s helping keep my mind active. I guess my sketchbook will be coming out to record my ideas and then I can start to …..
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on fine hand stitching some applique patches in place. Whatever you decide to do this evening, I hope you enjoy your work as much as I enjoy mine. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
