The last couple of weeks have just flown by. The last 48 hours in happy longarm quilting land have been emotionally draining. On top of all the building work going on around my house and all the new design work I’m doing, my heart is full to burst because of the kindness of all the generous crafty people that I come into contact with from day-to-day. I delivered my finished Double Monkey Wrench quilt to the Quilts for Comfort committee today. I believe the quilt will be handed over to a deserving teenager tomorrow.
During my sewing session at Stitchin’ Heaven yesterday I saw some very interesting sewing accessories. There were several lovely sewing wallets spread around the table. Here’s a little peek …..
I have found a kindred spirit. Annie who made all these fabulous sewing accessories for her sewing pals for Christmas loves nothing more than to immerse herself in making up these lovely useful pieces. I can’t think of anything nicer than to disappear into my sewing room and playing with my favourite fabrics and making something not only pretty but useful as well. I love all these sewing accessories. I don’t know if you can see clearly but Annie has used beautiful Japanese beads to embellish her work. When I grow up I want to make beautiful sewing accessories just like these. Well done Annie.
I’m afraid tonight’s post is short and sweet. The last couple of days have drained me. So I will leave you with a YouTube video clip my Sarah found a few days ago. Both Sarah and my hubby were giggling over this one, so I thought I would share it with you this evening. After a long hard day at the office this clip is just what you need to have a little laugh.
So for this evening, this very weary but extremely happy longarm quilter will be doing some applique work in order to unwind. Whatever you decide to do this evening, I hope you’re just as happy as I am. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
