I didn’t spend much time in happy longarm quilter land today. I set off quite early this morning to make my way over to The Quilters Cupboard. My mission was to deliver Margaret’s wonderful quilt which she has named Lovely Liberty.
Now if you would like to see Margaret’s quilt up close and in person there’s a very real possibility that you can as Margaret is seriously considering displaying her Lovely Liberty at the Alington Quilt Show next Saturday.
I met a lovely lady called Eileen today while I was visiting The Quilters Cupboard and we got chatting, as you do, and it seems she belongs to the Alington Quilting group. So if you live in the northeast of England and you feel you need a quilting fix, pop over and have a look around. The trader will be The Quilters Cupboard. I have no doubt Rita will have something on her stand to tempt you.
On the subject of temptation ….. I purchased the backing fabric for my Star Quilt today. I didn’t make any progress on the quilt today but I have great hopes of getting the whole thing pieced ready for longarm quilting sometime over the next few days.
It’s been an interesting Saturday. I met lots of lovely people today but now I feel worn out. I’m hoping to have a nice quiet Sunday even though I have to step out for a bit. I plan to spend a good long time in my sewing room working on my Star Quilt and tweaking a project for a class in October. This coming week is going to be a busy one. In fact all of September is busy for me. What is it they say? If you want something done, ask a busy person ~ Benjamin Franklin (1706 – 1790)
So after having a very interesting day, this very happy longarm quilter will be sitting down with notebook and pencil to record some ideas and then doing some knitting. I hope you have a lovely relaxing evening doing whatever pleases you. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
Hi Lucie – thanks for the nod about the quilt show in Durham next weekend – I may take a peek! Your aqua fabric is lovely and has nice shapes that could inspire a stitchery! Pleased you had a trip out the The Quilter’s Cupboard – it’s a lovely store with beautiful fabrics to sigh over! The lovely Rita is a gem!
I fondled fabric and sighed for hours. Thanks for popping in today.
