Have you all had a happy day? It’s been a busy happy day in my world. I stepped out this morning to run a couple of errands. And the rest of my day was spent working on Pauline’s gorgeous quilt. Have a look at Pauline’s sampler.
This quilt has beautiful colours in it. Not to mention some of my favourite sewing related prints. Pauline chose a quilting design called Bubble Meander by Vickie Malaski of Designs by Vickie. And by sure luck I was able to match the thread perfectly to the background fabric. I hope to hand over Pauline’s quilt as well as two other finished quilts this weekend.
It’s a while since I purchased a book, I mean a paper book. I seem to be purchasing most of my books as digital editions lately. I was really excited when this book hit my front door mat this morning …..
Once again Anni Downs has won me over. This book, The Home Patch, is packed full of fun projects that I want to make, immediately if not sooner ….. but I guess I will have to wait until I have finished my longarm quilting. Only a few more quilts to go and I can knock off for my summer break. No seriously, The Home Patch is full of charming projects and beautiful designs. It’s worth every penny I paid for it because I know I will get oodles of enjoyment and inspiration from it. I purchased my copy online at Kaleidoscope.
I have some really good news to share with you this evening. My Sarah went to college for her end of year tutorial. Sarah’s tutor has awarded Sarah another distinction for her last assignment of the year. So it’s very likely that she will be accepted to attend college starting in September for another year of study. So tonight I’m not just a very happy longarm quilter, I’m a very proud parent. I count myself very lucky to have a healthy and talents daughter. It looks like Operation Taking Flight is a success this year.😉
I know I say it just about every time I publish a blogpost but it really has been a very good day in happy longarm quilter land. I’m tickled pink about Sarah grades. And I longarm quilted another beautiful quilt in the sunshine. There’s a lot of positive stuff going on all around me. Isn’t it funny how we have to almost re-invent ourselves every so often? What I really mean is we have to change with the times. Life has changed quite a lot for me over the last six months. And I seem to spend a lot time working out how to adapt in order to cover all the bases. I’ll be telling you more about that over the summer months.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some preliminary appliqué work. I hope you have a super cosy evening working on something that makes you happy. Until you red me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
