Life happens ….. I spent part of the afternoon searching for something that I just couldn’t find. And what’s worse is I had my friend searching her house on the off chance that I had given said item to her. Panic set in for a short time but we finally called the search off when after pulling my sewing room to bits I found what I was looking for. And all this could have been avoided if only I hadn’t tidied up and re-organised my sewing room over the last several weeks. I think the moral of my story is that it doesn’t always pay to re-organise. Now if only each day was longer I could get more done as well.
I didn’t do any longarm quilting today. Instead hubby and I drove Sarah to her college so she could collect all the work she’s done over the past scholastic year to bring home. And there was loads of it. As we were out and about we decided to experience some retail therapy but first we treated ourselves to a lovely cup of coffee and a delicious treat in the nearest mall. We marched up and down and visited several shops and bought bits and pieces along the way. Look what found its way into my bag …..
I really hit the jackpot today. Actually two of these magazines landed on my front door mat but the rest were purchased. So I’m going to have a lovely time working my way thru all these mags in search of inspiration.
Now although I didn’t do any longarm quilting I did load a quilt to work on tomorrow. You will notice that this quilt has been bound already. That’s because it’s a sample which needs a wee bit more quilting which will make it truly washable. This quilt is destined for Quilts for Comfort. I plan on giving it a simple all over meander treatment using a co-ordinating thread.
I have been a super busy happy longarm quilter lately. And life all around me seems to be speeding up. Or have I just been slowing down? Oh well whatever has been going on I’m beginning to feel like I’m getting somewhere. I’ve got loads on my To-Do List but I’m learning to weed out things that are not necessary or important. I think it’s important to have fun on life’s journey. I’ve decided that I’m not here for a long time I am here for a good time. So having said all that I think it’s time for me to have fun by diving into my new magazines. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
