What a fantastic weekend it’s been. The sun was shining and the wind was blowing today. It was the perfect day to hang washing out on the line. In fact the sunshine always spurs me on to get loads of jobs done.
Well I didn’t really get many jobs done today. While my Sarah was doing homework to prepare for college I mooched about doing a little bit of washing and changing beds. I visited the supermarket because we were desperate for fresh fruit and veg. And once I stopped mooching about I sat down to some simple knitting …..
I decided on a simple open design. I thought if I kept it simple I was more likely to get it finished. I have enjoyed my knitting session today.
In between knitting and checking on the washing I made notes for myself on these index cards …..
And then I did some doodling …..
I wonder if I could Freemotion stitch these doodles on a small quilt or a block perhaps. That’s the problem with being creative; you always want to go one step further. In a couple of weeks everything will have gone back to normal; my Sarah will have gone back to college and I will be longarm quilting properly again. I need to find a way to carry on being creative. I have a very long list of things I want to design, develop and make samples of. I guess I need to stay focused.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be knitting perhaps. Or hand piecing more Nine Patch Blocks. Who knows! I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
