Goodness me! Don’t the weekends whizz by quick. It’s been a busy time for me. I didn’t do a lot of sewing unfortunately. I spent some time preparing for a couple of beginners classes next week at Stitchin’ Heaven. All the instructions were ready but the printing was not done. Well it is now.
I pieced a few more quilt as you go log cabin blocks. I’m really enjoying this technique. At the moment I have enough blocks to make the useful bag that I want to make from these blocks but I thought I would use up the rest of the Jelly Roll and be able to make two bags perhaps. Have a little peek …..
And amongst other things like washing, cooking and tidying up I loaded a quilt to start longarm quilting tomorrow morning. This one was pieced by Rebecca. It’s a lovely fresh looking quilt which I think Rebecca will be very proud of when she gets it back.
While I was longarm quilting last week I had a little visitor …..
Two days running this little cat climbed up on my window sill and stared in at me. It watched my longarm quilting system doing its thing with great curiosity. I’ve been expecting to get another visit but I haven’t seen it since Friday. What a funny little cat.
So folks did you have a lovely weekend? Although I don’t have much to show for it I have had a pretty good productive weekend. I have found inspiration everywhere I’ve gone over the summer months and now I’m raring to work on new projects for 2015. Tomorrow I will be pulling out of the slow lane in order to speed up to meet Christmas demands. It’s time for this happy longarm quilter to start overtaking in order to get somewhere in good time. My longarm quilting queue is growing rapidly. Christmas will be here in no time at all. I can’t believe how quickly time flies.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some fine applique work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
