What a brilliant day I had. Apart from running a couple of errands today I spent most of the day in my sewing room working on Helen’s quilt. I clicked go and just carried on until the job was done. Helen’s quilt looked like this yesterday …..
After doing several hours of stitching using my longarm quilting system Helen’s quilt looks like this …..
I happen to know that this Chisel Star quilt will be handed over to Helen’s son and daughter-in-law once the binding has been added. I’m sure this lovely quilt will be treasured for many years to come.
So now you know why I’ve had a brilliant day. It was great to be able to finish Helen’s quilt today.
I didn’t hold out much hope of finishing this enormous quilt today but I kept my head down and somehow it happened. There’s a lot to be said for determination. Now this evening, this very happy longarm quilter is doing a very happy dance. I think I deserve to relax this evening while I read the latest issue of Simply Vintage which arrived in today’s post. And perhaps I might do a little bit of fine hand appliqué. Tomorrow it will be a beginner’s sampler quilt class at Stitchin’ Heaven again. Teaching beginners is always rewarding.
I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something relaxing. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
