Is everyone alright today? Well ladies and gents I’m very pleased to tell you that today is the first day of autumn according to Google. It was dark and dismal all day in my little corner of the UK. I was so busy today that I hardly noticed what it was doing outside until Lynne pointed it out to me. I spent several hours in my sewing room working on Joyce’s quilt.
This quilt has come to life since I stitched a few thousand stitches thru its’ three layers. Don’t you just love Rose Garden by Apricot Moon? It’s one of my favourite quilting designs. I think the recipient of this quilt will cherish it for a long time to come.
Time just flew by today. I was super busy this morning and this afternoon I had to take my Sarah to the dentist for root canal treatment. Sarah does not like having dental work done but we both survived the procedure. I won’t be describing what our lovely dentist did! I know someone else who was having root canal treatment today as well. I hope all went well Anne.
Tomorrow I will be spending lots of time in my sewing room again. I have loaded another quilt into my longarm quilting system ready to start stitching first thing. I’m hoping to have another Freemotion Quilting practice session with the leftover backing and wadding.
Tomorrow’s longarm quilting is a charity quilt and when I do that I always cut the backing longer than I need just so I can reward myself with some me-time Freemotion Quilting practice. I plan on making notes of what quilting designs I want to stitch in order to make my practice time count. So my pencil will be smoking from all the doodling in my sketchbook this evening. Doodling is the best way of giving my brain a preview of what I want to stitch tomorrow. So it’s going to be a double treat as I love to doodle as much as I love to Freemotion Quilt. Woohoo!
What would you do with this?
Well I have plans for this little foam paintbrush. All will be revealed soon. Can you guess what I’m going to do with this? Like Arnie said ….. I’ll be back ….. with a reveal soon.
So for this evening, this super happy longarm quilter will be doodling. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you very happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
