Yippeeee it’s Monday …..
Oh yes folks. And what a great day it’s been in my little world. I have spent some time planning a Christmas Surprise class. I even visited a craft shop to purchase some embellishment supplies and such just in case ….. Oops I mustn’t spoil the surprise. If you haven’t booked yourself in for one of my Christmas Surprise classes don’t wait too long because the places are going quickly. For more info please call Stitchin’ Heaven on 01665 570 833.
This afternoon I worked on Molly’s quilt. This quilt is super cheerful. In fact I’m quite partial to this one as I am working with this same Jelly Roll for my Quilt as You Go project. Molly chose a quilting design called 1930’s Flowers by Designs by Vickie and a nice cream colour thread. The quilting design has a vintage feel to it and gives this quilt a grown up girly look. I think Molly’s sister is going to love this quilt.

I started preparing the next quilt to be loaded into my longarm quilting system. By preparing I mean I pressed the backing fabric and removed the pre-cut wadding from the packaging so it can relax overnight. I prefer to do that as sometimes the folds and creases in the wadding can be quite stubborn to work with. As for the top, well that will be pressed after I have loaded the backing and wadding into the frame.
So as usual it’s been a pretty busy Monday in happy longarm quilter land. My brain has been working since before my feet touched the ground this morning. My notebook has been close to hand which enables me to record ideas and update my To-Do List at a moments’ notice. My list for next year’s project is growing daily. I have no doubt that 2015 is going to be fun for this already very happy longarm quilter!
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be adding some labels to two charity quilts and perhaps hand piecing a few more Nine Patch blocks. Hand piecing is so relaxing; it’s the perfect way to unwind in the evening. I hope you have super cosy evening doing some relaxing. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
