It’s the last day of September. There’s only three months left of this year. I have spent the last few weeks looking ahead to 2015 with making plans for next years’ class projects. It hardly seems a minute since I was planning these current years’ projects. I seem to have gone full circle. I’ve got some interesting projects planned and I can’t wait to get stuck in.
I spent most of my day in a meeting. It’s really amazing what problems and issues you can ironed out in a couple of hours of discussion. Before I headed out this morning I started loading Janet’s quilt into my longarm quilting system. Do you remember the pre-cut wadding that I posted about yesterday and just how creased it was? Well this is what it looks like today.
It’s smooth as a baby’s bum now. It was well worth pulling it out of the bag the day before to let it relax. It will make the longarm quilting easier tomorrow as I won’t worry about any creases in between the layers. Janet has chosen a quilting design called Come Dance With Me by Irene Steele of Timeless Quilting Designs. I think this quilt is going to be lovely once I have done my magic trick.
I have gathered up a little bag of tricks in the box ……
I have been working on a festive project. Here’s a wee clue …..
Have you guessed what it’s going to be yet? Oh well I guess you’ll just have to wait and see what my secret project will be.
Well it’s been a pretty good day in my little world. After thinking it over I realised that I got more done than I first thought. I didn’t do any stitching so far but I certainly got a lot of household stuff done. Tomorrow I’m going to give a big push and try to get Janet’s quilt longarm quilted. I’m sure she’s looking forward to seeing her quilt top turned into a proper quilt.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilted will be making templates and hand piecing some bocks. I hope you have a super evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
