Hello everyone. I’m not sure what’s been happening in the big world today. I seem to have been isolated in happy longarm quilter manor today. I spent a few hours in my sewing room finishing off a couple of prototypes for my Christmas Surprise class. I’m quite excited about this one. I considered several different projects but finally now I have narrowed it down to one project and made up two different samples using two different methods which give similar results. It’s going to be a fun class. There will be a few Christmas Surprise classes but the first session will be held on November 20th. If you would like more info or to book this fun Christmas Surprise class please contact Stitchin’ Heaven on 01665 570 833. I’m really looking forward to the festive season this year. Here are a few scraps of fabric which I used in one of my prototypes …..
I’m in the planning stages for class projects for next year. And in order to make it interesting for myself I brought some of these newly arrived fabrics home on Friday to use in a new project …..
It’s always a joy to use the latest arrivals in a new project. These, Autumn Lily by Blackbird Designs for Moda fabrics are rather quiet prints compared to the brights I’m hoping to use later on. As I mentioned recently I plan on using bright colours and prints which will brighten up my life; especially during the cold dreary winter months.
I was hoping to do some more work on Mr. Chillingsworth but I never got around to it today. Perhaps I’ll be able to fit it into tomorrows’ To-Do List. I have quite a lot to conquer over the next few weeks but I will approach this mountain one stitch at a time.
It’s been a lovely weekend in happy longarm quilter land. My longarm system hasn’t been used this weekend which has given me a little break. And I even got to make a final choice for a Christmas project. I really enjoyed my secret sewing session in my sewing room. I can confirm that the most difficult part of any project is choosing the fabrics; especially when you have lots of fabric to choose from. I feel quite happy with what I did this weekend. I’m really looking forward to the challenges the next six months will send my way.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on one of today’s samples and adding beads to the other. I have wanted to play with beads for a while now and what better project to add beads to than something for Christmas! A bit of bling is good. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
