What a super day it’s been at happy longarm quilter manor. The sun has been shining brightly which spurs me on to get things done. What a productive day it’s been!
I kicked off my day by doing a printing job …..
This pile of paper will be turned into spiral bound booklets which I will hand out at Friday’s Freemotion Quilting Class at Stitchin’ Heaven. That’s one job I put off until I knew how many students I would have. Once that was done I moved onto making a mug rug which I can use for a beading tutorial. When I posted a photo of a project which I added beads to yesterday, one brave person asked a question about how I did it.
So I decided I would post a little how-to sometime in the next few days. I pieced the little mug rug and answered a few emails while I waited for Anne to pop in with her quilt top which I will be longarm quilting soon. Anne has chosen a lovely quilting design and I’m looking forward to turning her quilt top into a proper quilt.
In between cooking a ham and the trimmings for our evening meal I worked on piecing the last two blocks of my quilt as you go project. I went on to joining a few blocks together just to see how easy it was. I didn’t struggle even though I don’t have any instructions for this version. And it seems that I will be able to use every bit of the Jelly Roll from which this project has been pieced. I’m so pleased to be using up all the scraps. And although I have used a Jelly Roll it still has the look of a scrappy project. Scrappy is definitely my favourite style.
It’s been such a pleasant day in my little world; with hardly any interruptions. I changed my plan of action and somehow managed to tick several tasks from my To-Do List. I like days like today. I hoping things go just as well tomorrow.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand piecing some blocks. I’ll be ready to show you the progress soon. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something interesting. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
