Well my friends it seems we have started another week. It’s been a pretty bright day in my little corner of the northeast of England. I spent plenty of time in my sewing room working on Anne’s quilt. Anne chose a quilting design named Feathered Garden by Irene Steele of Timeless Quilting Designs. And I stitched out Feathered Garden in a lovely fine neutral colour thread. I’m sure will be pleased with the finished result of this quilt.
I had quite a lot to get on with today. Apart from cooking, washing, vacuuming and longarm quilting I prepared things for tomorrow’s Quilts for Comfort volunteer day. I needed to prepare a few examples of binding at different stages. And I needed to cut strips of calico for an ongoing project that I will work on tomorrow. Collecting things together and packing is the most difficult thing for me. As I’m never sure what I will need I always pack far too much. I’m hoping to get plenty done and that what I do get done is useful. Because that’s what a volunteer day is all about.
I watched Strictly Come Dancing last evening. And my teenage heart throb appeared as a judge and also sang Moon River. Yes my friends Donny Osmond was in the Strictly Come Dancing Studios here in the UK. Because I was curious I Googled him to find out how old he is; he’s one year and a bit older than me. I think my favourite song by Donny is Puppy Love. Did you have a teenage heart throb? And if so who was it?
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be relaxing by hand piecing some blocks. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
