Hello again my lovelies. The week has finally come to an end. I don’t count the weekend as part of the week! I really can’t believe that we’re half way thru the month already. And there’s only 40 more sleeps until Christmas!!!! Where has the year gone? I guess it’s time to start evaluating all that’s gone on over the past year and working out what I want to accomplish over the coming year. I don’t think I’m going to dwell on that this weekend.
I didn’t get any sewing done today as I was teaching my Quilt as You Go technique at Stitchin’ Heaven. We all got up out of our beds this morning in the dark and the rain and made the journey to Stitchin’ Heaven. I must admit when I looked out the window I just wanted to climb back into my warm bed to have another hour of rest but I didn’t.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STITCHIN’ HEAVEN.
Little did I know that today was Stitchin’ Heaven’s third birthday. Yes folks Stitchin’ Heaven has been trading for three years! Another sign that time flies. Mick treated us all to some very delicious Millionaire Tarts to go with our coffee to celebrate the occasion. Yummy. Happy birthday Stitchin’ Heaven and happy wedding anniversary Mick and Anne. X
It was a pretty busy day for this very happy longarm quilter. Everyone worked at their own speed and accomplished as much as they could. We chatted about all kinds of things. And I must admit that the conversation was pretty lively at times. All in all I must admit that I prefer a relaxed atmosphere because I still think that we all learn better when we’re relaxed. As I mentioned earlier, today we were covering my Quilt as You Go technique and it was brilliant seeing the reactions when they finally did it. It’s not complicated it’s just different from the traditional way of joining quilt blocks. Here’s the moment when Lena hand finished the binding on her Freemotion Appliqué tea tray cover. It’s such a great feeling seeing a project from start to finish. Ta-da …..
Here’s a few of my ladies concentrating hard of what they were doing. One by one I saw them moving closing to the finish line. I have no doubt I will be seeing these finished projects over the next few weeks.
It’s been a great productive week in my little quilty world. I did loads of longarm quilting and I helped a few ladies get closer to the finish line. Tomorrow I will be heading up to Stitchin’ Heaven again to teach my beginner’s sample quilt class. Sunday I plan on working on one of my own projects while contemplating life in general.
Feel free to report any chocolate bars you might be able to see in my photos by posting a comment. I’m quite sure Karen will spot something.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some stitchery work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
