Hello my lovelies. What’s been happening in your world today? Well apart from taking my dog for a walk this morning I never crossed the threshold again. I spent several hours in my sewing room working on Sue’s quilt …..
This quilt was lovingly pieced by Sue using a Jelly Roll, for her granddaughter. Lucky her! Sue chose a quilting design called Dragonflies by Designs by Vickie and a pale gold colour thread. This quilt is really lovely now that I have added a few thousand stitches. I’m sure it will be treasured for many years to come.
While I was longarm quilting I listened to stories making me feel less isolated. Longarm quilting is quite a solitary occupation. So stories are ideal for me.
After finishing Sue’s quilt I went on the loading another quilt into my longarm quilting system. This one was pieced by Heather. And Heather has left the choice of quilting designs and thread colour up to me. Well I haven’t decided what design to use yet but I will be stitching said design in yellow thread.
Sometime ago I started hand piecing a simple to make quilt top. I have progressed to this stage now …..
Only two more rows of blocks to be added and then of course some kind of border to frame it up. I’m quite pleased with this effort. So far all the fabrics I have used were found in my stash. I’m hoping to find the border fabric in my stash as well. This is a relatively simple quilt to piece by hand. I’m already on the lookout for another design to piece by hand.
So once again it’s been a pretty busy day in my little world. I don’t have time to get into any trouble because I keep myself busy. Tomorrow I hope to work on Heather’s quilt and prepare for my Friday class at Stitchin’ Heaven.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be making a few Yo-Yos and some stitchery work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really love to do. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
