Hello my lovelies. Have you hit the Black Friday sales? Are you all shopped out? I for one stayed away from the Black Friday sales. I like a bargain as much as the next person but I don’t like the confrontation that ensues. According to my national news there have been a few people injured by aggressive shoppers nationwide. I must admit that I did make a couple of internet purchases today and they were Craftsy classes. Perfect for when I have my feet up session on Sunday. I might even learn something that I can pass on to you.
I spent today in the company of like-minded ladies teaching the Christmas Surprise class. So far I have refrained from taking photos of these classes because I did not want to spoil the surprise for those taking the class later on in the month. However today I took a few photos and I blanked out the project samples in order not to reveal what we’re making. As usual the first step is to choose the fabric for the project. So here are two of my ladies choosing said fabric ….
And four of my ladies comparing notes …..
One of my ladies matched her fabric to her nails …..
Once again it was a brilliant class. Of course we had the regular issues with sewing machines which we solved after trying a few different things. We drank coffee, ate mince pies and chocolates and chatted but everyone got their project finished. In fact Joy started a second one! I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s quite refreshing to be able to say that you finished your project by the end of the day.
Tomorrow I plan to step out first thing in the morning for a Christmas hunting and gathering session. I need to purchase one or two bits and I would rather do it sooner than later. I would love to be able to say that I’m ready for the festive period but I’m not! And I’m sure I’m not the only one.
I’ll end this post with this photo …..
The Christmas tree has arrived in Longframlington. Next week the tree will be decorated and plugged in for everyone to enjoy. I guess I had better choose some decorations and get a few fairy lights out of storage to decorate my little outdoor tree. It’s nowhere near the size of the tree in the photo.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be carry on working on some hexagons. I hope you have a super cosy evening working on something festive. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
