Timeline: Sunday and it’s the last day of November. Slowly but surely I am approaching the finish line. Will I win? Who knows!
It’s been a super weekend at happy longarm quilter manor. Everything was done quietly and at an almost slow motion speed. My Sarah and I ran a few errands both Saturday and today. My plan was to put my feet up today but that changed. Rarely does anything every go to plan in my world.
Somehow we managed to hit the shops to do a little Christmas shopping yesterday morning. And although I didn’t purchase many gifts I did find inspiration which was really welcome. Sometimes one unimportant thought leads to a whole string of ideas. I feel quite relieved that the bulk of my gifts have been sorted out. For a while I found myself panicking because I wasn’t getting anywhere fast.
As well as the madness of hitting the shops I did have some quiet time at home. I did a little bit of hand stitching …..
This is the progress I have made on my hexagon project. I really like the look. And although I was considering turning this piece into a bag I might turn it into a table running. I can’t make up my mind!
Along with that little bit of hand stitching I prepared the instructions for my Gingerbread Cushion class. I’ve even got mini gingerbread men biscuits for us all to feast on during the class!
When it was time to put my feet up in earnest this afternoon, I sat at my hobby table pressing some fabric tubes for a future project. I’ve had my Cut n’ Press mat for ages but I hadn’t used it until today. It works even better than I thought it would. While I pressed Sarah and I both watched a few episodes of a TV series called Scorpion. It’s a really entertaining show. So a good quiet time was had by all.
It’s been a great weekend for me. Slowing down, moving into the slow lane, for a couple of days has done me a world of good. I feel set to face the world again tomorrow. I have a few appointments this week and lots of longarm quilting in between.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on hexagons or perhaps even some stitchery work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
