Hello my lovelies. Have you been busy today? Well things haven’t changed for me. So you know I’m going to tell you that I have been very busy today. I kicked off my day by zooming off to the post office before the crowds hit. And then disappeared into my sewing room to start longarm quilting Heather’s quilt. Heather left the decision of what quilting design to stitch up to me. So after the conversation I had with Heather to try to work out what she would like I decided on Cloud Nine by Patricia Ritter and a yellow thread. This what Heathers quilt looks like now …..
Once I finished Heather’s quilt I loaded another into my longarm quilting system. This particular quilt is a bit of a special quilt that will bring comfort to a family. I kept the quilting pretty simple. In this case I chose Dragon Wings by Apricot Moon and a cream thread. This is such a nice little quilt …..
And I have added a pocket on the back which will hold a very special message …..
I would like to thank Moira for the inspiration she gave me for the pocket which I added to this quilt. Moira added a label to a baby quilt she made a few weeks ago. She added the label to the corner which I thought was a super idea. I had never seen this before but you can bet I will be using this idea as often as I can now. When it was suggested that I add a pocket to this afternoon’s quilt I immediately thought of Moira’s idea.
So as you can see I have been a busy girl today. Along with the longarm quilting I managed to do a few household chores. And we sat down to a home cooked meal this evening. I’m not quite sure how it all happened but it did.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on one of today’s quilts. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until your read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
