Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super day. It’s Friday which means the work week is over for now. I’m going to enjoy the next two days. I have promised that I won’t set foot outside the house tomorrow. I seem to have spent every morning this past week running errands. Just when I thought I was safe something cropped up that I needed to hit the shops for extra storage or hardware of some sort. Well my nesting syndrome is hopefully coming to an end now. Although I must admit that my bathroom needs a swift tidy up but for the next couple of days I’m going to play in my sewing room.
My day consisted of a trip to the supermarket for some provisions to see us thru the next few days. So now we’re good to go for a while. The kitchen is full of healthy options. After all the over indulgence of Christmas I feel the need to eat myself slim.
Once the groceries were put away I sat down to do bit of hand finishing …..
This is my new example of Japanese Folded Patchwork. I love this technique because it’s done by hand and once the prep is done it’s perfect as an armchair project. This technique will be offered as a class later this year at Stitchin’ Heaven. I’ll be posting more info about this class over the next few months.
I spent ages doing some printing related to samples I’m making for classes over the next few months. Eventually I got fed up of printing so I disappeared into my sewing room and did some prep work for mini nine patch blocks.
It’s been a great day in my world. I carried on in a slow and measured pace. I seem to enjoy the process much better when I can take my time about doing things. When the daily To-Do List is so long that you have to rush thru everything to get things done it makes it difficult to enjoy what you’re doing. I hope to carry on as I have done thru the weekend.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will carry on the prep work for 12 mini nine patch blocks. I hope you have a super cosy weekend doing only things you enjoy doing and your own relaxing pace. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
