Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve been keeping warm and dry. Winter has hit hard over the last few days. There’s no snow in my garden but the temperature is brrrrrrrr cold. I set off with hubby this morning to run and errand in Consett which at the moment is like a winter wonderland. It was a treat for me to see white trees and fields. So I’ve had my snow fix without the struggle. I do miss the snow but I don’t miss the shovelling.
Apart from running errands I have been keeping pretty busy with household chores and a bit of sewing. I loaded the next quilt into my longarm quilting system this morning. The wadding was of the pre-cut variety so I’m letting it relax overnight. I’ll hopefully have a good rest tonight and be fresh to start quilting in the morning.
This afternoon I worked on this …..
This is the sample for my Connect the Dots class. I’m so pleased with this machine quilting. I can’t wait to see how my students get on with this one. If you would like to have a go at Freemotion Quilting using your domestic sewing machine in a different way this is the class for you. I’m really excited about the year ahead. It’s going to be a very busy one but I think I can meet the challenge. I spent many hours researching, drawing, planning and of course sewing to make all the busyness happen. I love seeing projects grow from drawings and notes on paper to an actual 3D sample. I’ve been using up some of the stash but said stash doesn’t seem to be reducing. I wonder how that works! Here’s a little preview of something to come …..
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on todays’ Connect the Dots quilt. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
