Hello my lovelies. It’s the last Friday of the January. And it’s been sunny all day in my little world. It’s been bliss in my sewing room all day. I’ve had quite a relaxing day considering how productive it’s been.
Yes I spent all day in my sewing working on samples. And there were hardly any interruptions. So I got so much done! I played with a little foundation paper pieced trees …..
I joined all the trees together ……
And joined some other foundation paper pieced rows together …..
And once all the rows were joined I added the inner border …..
Do you remember the hearts I pieced last week? Well here they are joined to the trees I pieced this morning …..
This current project is the sample for my One Row at a Time class. When I was working on each row individually I had no idea how it would look. Well it turns out it’s even better than I thought it would be. It’s been a very exciting day watching this project come together. I’m hoping to get the rest of the borders added this weekend. I can’t wait to load this one into my longarm quilting system to give it the full treatment. I’ll soon be able to report this project finished and add it to my Let’s Finish it Up list.
Speaking of Let’s Finish it Up, my friend Fran has sent me another progress photo of her hexies …..
It’s amazing how quickly hexies grow. I think Fran will be finished this top in no time at all. Winter is the perfect time to work on hexies. Well done Fran. I can see your project growing.
So it’s been a lovely day spent in my sewing room doing something useful. I have thoroughly enjoyed my sewing session today. Things just seem to work well. And because I had hardly any interruptions I got a lot more done than I thought I would. I’m quite excited about getting on with my samples.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing a wee bit of hand appliqué and stitchery work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that you love doing. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
