Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super productive day. I never set foot across the threshold today. Instead I spent another day working on borders for my Four Season Button Club Whimsical Appliqué & Stitchery Quilt project. I’m very pleased to tell you that the borders have been sewn on and the quilt is ready to load in my longarm quilting system. I can’t wait to see it quilted.
So here’s a little peek at what I have been working on today …..
I did the prep work for these simple appliqué blocks yesterday. I spent last evening working on these blocks and finished today. Then I went on to join all the components which form the outer border to my current Whimsy. Here’s a little peek …..
I kept the outer border simple and took the opportunity to use up my scraps while making the border fun and cheerful.
I feel quite relieved now that my Whimsy is finished. And I must tell you that I’m very impressed with the way it looks. I can’t wait to reveal the project but I have decided to wait until after it is quilted, the binding has been sewn and all the super embellishment has been added.
I will soon be moving on to adding borders to my One Row at a Time project. Once again I plan on using up my scraps but all the while keeping the border simple. I will be glad when the Row Quilt is complete as well. I have a few other projects that I want to get started on but I can’t do so until the Row Quilt is finished.
So it’s been another pretty busy day in my little world. I feel rather excited about what I accomplished today. In fact I can’t wait for tomorrow morning so I can load the Whimsy into my longarm so I can start the quilting! I guess I’m kind of wishing my life away.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing a wee bit of find hand appliqué and stitchery work while working out a quilting plan for tomorrow. I hope you have a supper cosy evening doing something you thoroughly enjoy doing. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
