Hello my lovelies. And happy Monday. Have you all had a good productive day? Mine has been rather busy. I kick off just after 8am. I worked on Veronica’s quilt all day. I knocked off just in time to start making supper. Here’s a little look at what I have been longarm quilting today …..
This is Veronica’s first sampler quilt. Veronica joined my Beginner’s Sampler class last year and this is the sampler she produced. In fact the original design consists of 16 blocks but Veronica decided she need a quilt that would fit a king size. So this quilt has 25 blocks and more borders bringing it up to 100” square. So I longarm quilted for England today. Veronica couldn’t decide which quilting design she wanted so she left the choice up to me. I chose Rose Garden Panto by Apricot Moon and a fine fawn colour thread. And this is how it looks like now …..
Over the next couple of evenings I plan on hand finishing the binding on Veronica’s quilt so that it will be finished by Friday when I will be handing the finished quilt over. I’m quite sure Veronica will cherish this, her very first sampler quilt, for many years to come.
So as you can see I have been keeping pretty busy today. Tomorrow is my volunteer day for Quilts for Comfort. I started hand quilting a quilt quite a while ago, so that’s what I will be working on tomorrow. I spent my weekend finishing up bits and pieces which I will post about during the week. I tried working with and without a list and the result is that I get more done when I have a list of things that need doing.
So for the evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on Veronica’s quilt. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly love to work on. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
