Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super day. It’s been another busy day for me. I spent part of the day in my sewing room working on Mrs. Ds quilt. Here’s how it looks now ….
Mrs. D used 10” squares which she cut up to piece this quilt. Between us we decided on a quilting design called Hall of Mirrors by Apricot Moon which is perfect for a man’s quilt. I stitched the design using a nice fine beige thread which sits quietly. This little quilt will be well loved by the recipient.
In order to make life simple I try to organise appointments and deliveries all on one day during any given week. I find that grouping such things helps keep me straight. So I scheduled two deliveries for yesterday, Wednesday. I ordered 500 sewing machine needles from one supplier and a roll of wadding from another, both were supposed to arrive yesterday. Well guess what?????? Neither arrived yesterday as planned! I received the needles on Tuesday and the wadding today, Thursday. So I was committed to having to stay home two days running instead of one as scheduled. I don’t like being at the mercy of a man driving a van.
Once I finished working on Mrs. Ds quilt I decided to do a little more sewing on the project that I started yesterday. Here’s a little sneaky peek at what I did today…..
I love red. And the stripy fabric I was working on yesterday certainly looks great embellished with red. I’ll be posting a photo of what I have been working on behind the scenes soon. Hopefully the sun will come out in the near future. The days have been dark and dreary quite a lot lately which doesn’t produce very good photos.
It’s been a great day in my little world. I got quite a lot done today. Tomorrow I be meeting with my beginner sampler quilt ladies. I look forward to seeing what progress they have made on their blocks. So I guess I had better get a good night’s sleep in order to be at my best tomorrow.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be playing with funky colourful buttons. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you very happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
