Hello my lovelies. Happy Monday to you all. Today is the 23rd day of February. That means that the second month of 2015 is almost over. It seems to me that Christmas was only last week! I don’t know where the days and weeks are disappearing to.
So it’s been another busy day for me. I kicked off my day with a visit to my hairdresser. I feel so much better now that she has chopped off some of hair given it a little shape. Driving home from the hairdresser was quite an adventure …. The road we took getting there was suddenly closed because they were resurfacing said road but somehow we found our way out. And then we encountered a couple of drivers who didn’t believe in making sure there was nothing behind them before backing/pulling out. Not to mention the car that decided to park in the middle of road to consult a road map! I was really pleased to arrive home in one piece.
Once I got home I decided to load Edith’s quilt …..
Edith has chosen a quilting design and I will stitch out the chosen design in a nice fine delphinium coloured thread. I’m itching to get started.
After having my lunch I was at a loss regarding what I should do next. Over the last week or so I have moved away from making To-Do Lists. Well clearly that’s not working for me because I didn’t do half of what I needed to get done. So it’s back to list making for me!
After looking around my sewing room I found something I could work on. I added some borders to this little project …..
And then I went on to play with some Prairie Points …..
I got friendly with my stitch in the ditch foot. I only recently realised that I had such a thing as it comes as a standard accessory with my Brother sewing machines. Since I discovered it and tested it with great success I have used it regularly without hesitation.
And now you can see the final result of the Prairie Points …..
You will have to wait a few days until I can show you the other side of my project.
I have decided that I should show you a few close ups of my Four Season Button Club Whimsical Applique & Stitchery quilt project. So here is one of my favourite blocks of the project …..
Those of you who have been reading me for some time will know that I love anything beach hut themed. So I have included some beach huts in my summer block. I’m very grateful to my friend Sandra for designing so many beautiful buttons for this project. I have to say that my very favourite button is the beach hut one! I have three more seasons to unveil which I will do over the next few days.
We had lots of sunshine in my little world. I was very surprised to hear it was snowing in places not far from here. The sun always spurs me on to get things done. Especially once I decide what to work on. All in all it was a productive day. I wonder what tomorrow will bring. I think I had better make a list.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on hexies. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that will keep you warm. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
