Hello my lovelies. I hope you all had a fab weekend. As usual my weekend was rather busy. I spent my Saturday with a few like-minded ladies learning the Connect the Dots way of Freemotion Quilting.
We had a fab day discussing Freemotion Quilting, pieced quilts and recent current events. We fondled fabric, drank coffee and generally had a lovely day.
Yesterday, which was Sunday, I worked on putting the finishing touches on my Elongated Hexagon Bag design. And I actually made a sample. No I’m not ready to show you the sample. It’s such a fun bag that I need to keep it to myself for a few more days. I can say that I used fusible wadding for this project which was the perfect choice.
I enjoyed working on this project so much that I decided to start making another one today. I didn’t get very far because I spent most of the day working on Eileen’s quilt.
I believe Eileen used up some of her scraps to make this quilt. It’s a simple block but it’s so effective. It’s a great stash buster block. Eileen left the choice of quilting designs up to me. So I chose Moonflower by Keryn Emmerson. I think the recipient of this quilt will cherish it for many years to come.
I forgot to post the autumn block, the last main block of my Four Season Button Club Whimsy Appliqué & Stitchery quilt project last week. So here it is …..
I’m hoping to get a good clear and still day so I can get some good snaps of the whole quilt. Today was clear and bright but it was blowing a hooley again.
I have another Semi Circle Strippy Bag finish to show you this evening. Marion took my class a couple of weeks ago and brought in the finished article on Saturday. Well done Marion, your bag looks great …..
It’s been a really good productive day in my little world. I thoroughly enjoyed working on Eileen’s quilt. I managed to load the next quilt into my longarm quilting system. And I’m so pleased to have been able to do some prep work on another Elongated Hexagon Bag. Tomorrow is going to be another pretty busy day with a couple of appointments and longarm quilting. I’ll let you know how it all works out for me.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some more work on the second Elongated Hexagon Bag. Yay! I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy enough to cheer. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
