Hello my lovelies. I hope you have had a super duper day. It’s been bright and breezy here. Once again I spent most of the day in my sewing room working on finishing up things. What a lovely time I’ve had.
While I worked this morning, I watched/listened to a couple of episodes of Betrayal on my laptop. I made a couple of handles …..
And made some Yo-Yos to embellish a couple of projects …..
And here’s one of the projects I finished during today’s sewing session …..
This project is my Elongated Hexagon Bag. I loved designing and working on this project. In fact I enjoyed it so much that I went on to make another one and another variation on the same theme as well. I love messing around in my sewing room. And when a design morphs into different things it makes me very happy. I will be teaching this project next month. For more info about this class click here to be taken to my Upcoming Events & Workshops page.
I was hoping to get a good photo of my Four Season Button Club Whimsy project today but it was rather windy again today. So until I get the chance to take a proper photo I have decided to post this one …..
This project is a combination of appliqué, stitchery, pieced spacer blocks and borders etc. This year’s Whimsy has a little twist to it as I have worked with my creative friend Sandra who has designed and painted special buttons. The buttons form part of the appliqué pictures and they add dimension and interest. To be honest I think the buttons make the project pop. I will be posting more info about this class nearer the time when the class will start.
It’s been a lovely relaxed day in my little world. I pottered around in my sewing room quietly at my own speed. And somehow I managed to finish a couple of projects and do some prep work for a couple more. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be adding labels to today’s finishes and possibly doing some hand piecing. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
