Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super day. It’s been all go in my little world. I spent most of the day working on Rachel’s disappearing nine patch quilt …..
This is a superb quilt. The colours in this quilt are just beautiful. Rachel has chosen Butterfly Walz by Apricot Moon as a quilting design and it’s perfect for this quilt. I used a pearl grey thread to stitch the quilting design. I’m quite sure the recipient of this quilt is going to treasure it for many years to come.
I went on to load Delia’s quilt into my longarm quilting system …..
This is quite an interesting quilt. I love the colours and prints. Delia has chosen a quilting design called Hall of Mirrors by Apricot Moon and a nice fresh Eau de Nil thread. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
I was hankering after a short sharp fix of domestic machine sewing today. So I went onto to piece four pineapple log cabin blocks. I have now pieced all twenty-one blocks. The next step will be to square off all the blocks to join them together. These blocks will be joined together to form a satchel bag. This is a kit I have been working on for my friend Anne. I’m hoping to get it finished soon.
It’s been a pretty good day in my little world. I have been plagued with a bit of a headache today which slowed me down a wee bit. I don’t get headaches very often thankfully. Tomorrow I plan to step out for a couple of hours. I think a wee bit of sock shopping is on the agenda. My Sarah has no classes this week so perhaps I can convince her to come with me.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some hexie work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you thoroughly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
