Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super Friday. The last week has just disappeared before my very eyes. Perhaps I should have been a magician! Somehow my days just melt one into the next.
I have approach the tasks I wanted to get done in a different way this past week. Instead of making a daily To-Do List I made a list for the week. I’m not sure that I have been as productive as I am when I make a daily To-Do List. However, in my defence, I must say that since Sarah was home with me most of the week I took time out to breathe while spending a bit of time with her. So perhaps if I test the new weekly To-Do List next week it will turn out that I am just as productive. I’ll let you know.
I spent most of my day in my sewing room longarm quilting Delia’s lovely quilt. Delia chose a quilting design called Hall of Mirrors by Apricot Moon which suits her funky quilt perfectly. I used a lovely fine Eau de Nil thread to stitch the design. I’m sure the recipient of Delia’s quilt will cherish this quilt for many years to come.
Now yesterday I ranted on and on about cold callers. Well I would like to thank everyone who took the time to commiserate and make suggestions via a comment. It seems I’m not the only one who has included cold callers on my list of pet peeves. Shari mentioned something very interesting; none of us has ever received a cold call from someone selling FABRIC! At least that would be an interesting conversation.
I’ve had a much better day sans cold callers today. I worked on Delia’s lovely quilt, I met with a few ladies dropping off quilts to be longarm quilted and I managed to do a little designing. I spent all week recording ideas in sketch form for my new Welcome Wall Hanging project but today I finally sat down and drew the design in earnest. I can’t wait to get started. The most difficult part is always choosing the fabrics. I’ve got a few ideas concerning fabrics but I’m not sure yet if I’ll be cutting fresh fabrics or choosing stuff from my scrap bag. Perhaps a combination of both. How exciting. It’s been a pretty good day considering today is Friday the Thirteenth. Not that I’m superstitious or anything …..
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will choosing fabric and perhaps getting started on a new project. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that keeps you out of the cold and wet rain. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
