Hello my lovelies. Have you been working in the sunshine today? If I hadn’t already planned to longarm quilt in my sewing room today I would have been in the garden tidying up. The tidying up will have to wait another day.
I spent quite a few hours longarm quilting Josie’s quilt today. And this is how it looks now …..
Doesn’t it look fab? Josie was one of my first beginner’s sampler quilt students. Josie stuck with it, paid attention, asked questions and produced a lovely square quilt. The quilting design I used today is called Zephyr designed by Hermione Agee. And I stitched it out using a Sahara beige thread. I think Josie is going to be pleasantly surprised when she finally sees her quilt up close and in person.
Well it’s been another busy day in happy longarm quilter land. I spent most of my day in me sewing room longarm quilting and then loading Anne A.’s first quilt of two. And in between I handed over a couple of finished quilts. And I took my Sarah to the dentist for a check-up where she got a clean bill of health. Tomorrow will be spent in my sewing room again working on Anne’s quilt and handing over another finished quilt. It’s going to be a little bit of a different day from today because in addition to more of the same, my house alarm will get its’ annual service. I’m aiming to do something totally different on Thursday. You know what they say ….. all work and no play makes the happy longarm quilter a dull girl. So it’s time to get out and about for a bit.
I didn’t get to do any new project sewing today. So there’s nothing else to report. How boring! So I will leave you with this clip which I received from Gail a few weeks ago. Thank you for the contribution Gail. I think it’s definitely worth sharing with my readers. Please feel free to comment.
Goodness me, how things have changed over the decades! I must make an effort to comb my hair, powder my face be sure to freshen my lipstick the next time I sit down to do some machining.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some hexie work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy.
Stay safe and happy stitching. ♥ ♥
