Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a superb day. Once again we’ve had some lovely sunshine to motivate me. I spent most of my day longarm quilting Anne’s quilt. Here’s how it looks now …..
After consulting my quilting design Anne decided on two different designs. For this quilt I used a quilting design called A Little Bit This by Barbara Becker and a mauve thread. So many of my ladies say that longarm quilting finishes their quilts off nicely. I tend to agree. I’m sure Anne will love her quilt when she finally gets to see it up close and in person.
I used the rest of the day for decompression time. I sat and watched an episode of Indian Summers while reading some books and magazines. I was hoping for a little inspiration but I only managed to confuse myself because there were so many nice things to make and look at that I don’t know what I want to work on next. So I think I will just work on my hexies and hand quilting project for the time being. I have been doing a little hand quilting over the last couple of weeks and found that my under finger was really sore. So I purchased a few different products that I think might help.
I have finally found the perfect thimble for the finger that pushes the needle on top but I have never bothered for the sore under finger. And as I plan on doing more hand quilting I thought I should invest in something to help. So I will test the products and let you know what works best for me. And how long it takes to get used to wearing the products.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be working on some hexies. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
