Hello my lovelies. What’s been happening in your world today? Well my little world has been quiet and relaxed today. I ran a couple of errands this morning and was home in time to have lunch at home.
After a trip to the supermarket my cupboards are full. And I collected a couple of quilt tops to longarm quilt sometime in the near future. I stepped into my sewing room long enough to load the next quilt to be quilted possibly tomorrow.
Yesterday I was contemplating what I could work on next. I looked thru books and magazines for inspiration but there were so many projects to choose from that I couldn’t decide. For the most part I look thru books and mags to find inspiration whether it’s for colour palettes or block styles or shapes. At the moment I think I would like to work on a scrappy quilt. Goodness knows I have enough scraps. Having said all that, I decided to prep a block which I plan to build on for a hand quilting sample …..I think. So here is a little bit of prep work …..
I’ve enjoyed my prep work so far. I love every part from choosing fabric right thru to tacking the appliqué shapes to the background fabric. So watch for news about this new start soon.
So that was my quiet day. While I was doing my prep work I watched another couple of episodes of Indian Summers. It’s quite an interesting story so far. Has anyone else been watching it? Tomorrow I’m hoping to longarm quilt Anne’s number 2 quilt. I’m hoping to have a quiet weekend which will help me catch up on a few things that need finishing up.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some hand appliqué work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
