Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super Easter break. I am still enjoying my break however I will be moving from the slow lane back into the fast lane this week. I have lots of little jobs that need doing so I have no choice but to speed up a little.
I have been enjoying the sunshine but I just wish there was a little more warmth in it. The sun always recharges my battery which results in a good pile of accomplishments. So here’s a little re-cap of what I did over the last couple of days.
I loaded Claudia’s quilt into my longarm quilting system yesterday.
My plan was to start quilting Claudia’s hexagons this afternoon but my Sarah and I stepped out this morning to have our hair cut. And then we travelled over to Stocksfield to The Cotton Tree to collect some fabric that our lovely Jan set aside for me last week. The fabric is for the borders of my ongoing hexie quilt …..
I did a little more work on my appliqué quilt which I will use for a hand quilting sample this summer. I added some vines and worked on leaves and flower shapes …..
While I tacked the vines to the background I watched Outlander. What a fantastic story! I believe it is being aired on TV in America and Canada but here in the UK it is only available on Amazon Instant Video. I can’t wait to have some more quiet work to do in my sewing room so I can watch a few more episodes.
This afternoon when we got home from running our errands I felt a bit tired so I decided to sit down at my table to get some quiet paper work done. With the help of my Sarah doing some behind the scenes computer designing and printing we managed to create this …..
I love creating when I have plenty of time. At this very moment, time is at a premium but I must admit that I really enjoyed my quiet time cutting, sticking, stapling and stuffing. I spent a couple of hours smiling at every successful step. I love it when a plan comes together.
So tomorrow I will be ramping up the speed a little. I’m going to make a conscious effort to keep breathing over the next few weeks and until I take my summer break in August. By August I should be caught up and everything that’s on my To-Do List. In the meantime I putting one foot in front of the other just like everyone does.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some more cutting, sticking and stapling. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something that really enjoy makes you happy. In fact I think we should all be doing more of what makes us happy more often. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
