Hello my lovelies. It’s been another bright sunny day in my little corner of the northeast of England.
I kicked off my day by loading a quilt into my longarm quilting system. And then stepped out for an hour. My cupboards were looking a bit sparse. So I remedied that by visiting the supermarket to purchase some food. My cupboards have been topped up giving me plenty of meal choices.
At lunchtime my Maisie and I disappeared into my sewing room to start longarm quilting the currently loaded quilt …..
This quilt just happens to be my most recent Jelly Roll creation. Simple as it may be I think it’s a lovely quilt. The Jelly Roll I used is Whitewashed Cottage by 3 Sisters for Moda and the background or in between fabric is a lovely soft peachy pink tiny print which softens everything nicely. It’s very girly and not at all my usual choice of fabrics but I really do love it. The quilting design I used is called Moon Flower by Keryn Emmerson with a lovely fine peach colour thread. I know exactly where and how this quilt will be used in the not too distant future. In the meantime, all that’s left to do is hand finish the binding and add a label. It was a pleasure working on this quilt. It took me three days from start to finish. Jelly Rolls are brilliant when you need a quick sewing fix.
So all in all it’s been a pretty productive day in happy longarm quilter land. Tomorrow I will be loading another quilt into my longarm quilting system and perhaps doing a quick tidy in my sewing room. There seems to be loads of little loose Jelly Roll fibres scattered around the floor. I must check my To-Do List and decide what important task needs doing and see if I can fit it in tomorrow as well. In spring when the sun shines I feel the need to put things in order.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will he hand finishing the binding on today’s longarm quilting effort. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
