Hello my lovelies. Happy May Day to you all. I couldn’t believe my eyes this morning when I saw the hard frost on the grass! May 1st and we’re still waking up to frost. I’m still wearing my winter woollies to walk my Maisie in the morning.
After yesterday’s successful day of custom longarm quilting I decided to have another go on one of my own wee quilt tops. So I loaded my quilt top and studied it and decided on what quilting designs to stitch in the different areas of the quilt. This is what my effort has produced today …..
I really enjoy working on one of my own quilts today. You may recognise it as the project that includes a Foundation Paper Pieced centre. I treated this project as a Medallion Quilt. I used only fabrics in my stash. Most of the time I buy something new to add to my stash but in this case I just used what I had. So there will be more stash busting projects in the near future.
For those of you who may have forgotten this weekend in May Day Bank Holiday weekend. I will be spending tomorrow with some like-minded ladies at Stitchin’ Heaven but I will definitely treat Sunday and Monday as a holiday. I may even be able to squeeze in a pyjama day if the weather is wet and windy. On Tuesday things will go back to normal. Whatever normal is!
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on todays’ longarm quilting effort and perhaps doing some fine hand appliqué work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
Love what you’ve done with both the hedgehog quilt and your medallion. Well done and hope you get to have your “pyjama day” if it’s wet and cold. It’s been pretty cool here too, over the last week or two, not as warm as April can be. I’ve nice fleecy sheets on the bed again and it can be hard to get up in the morning, but as we are doing so much decluttering and packing for the move I have to be motoivated and get going in the morning. Hope Bank Holiday weekend shapes up well. Take care.
It doesn’t seem five minutes since you moved and now you’re both uprooting again. I’m sure it’s for the best. And I have no doubt that you will soon settle into your new home and be happy again. It looks like I might be on track for my pyjama day tomorrow as the weather forecast looks like rainy and dreary. Perfect for my quiet day. Thanks for popping in today Susan.
