Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super weekend. As this is a bank holiday weekend in England earlier in the week I promised myself that I would treat this as a holiday Sunday like millions of other people do. I was kind of hoping to have a pyjama day if it turned out that it was a wet and windy day. Well I can report that I have not seen the sun all day and in fact it has been wet and windy all day. However I decided that pyjamas were not suitable to wear for walking the dog. So I got dressed in comfy clothes suitable for rain and windy and for lounging around.
So what did I really do today? Well I played with hexagons …..
And I did simple boring things like washing my bedding. I cooked a nice roast dinner. And I watched some mindless TV shows. And while I did all that my Maisie watched from the comfort of her cosy chair …..
While I was doing what I was doing my Sarah was busy tying her latest creation …..
I am pleased to tell you that Sarah finished tying her charity quilt this afternoon. I have offered to machine the binding on in the morning. And perhaps we will share the hand finishing part between us.
It’s been a lovely weekend in my little world. Today was spent mooching about at a slow and measured pace. And yesterday was spent in the company of like-minded ladies at Stitchin’ Heaven. I even met one of my readers while I was teaching. So if you’re reading today, Hi Deborah of Whitley Bay and mum to two spaniels. I hope to see you again sometime. Perhaps you might consider joining us for a class sometime.
Before I go, I’m sure the whole world has heard that our Royal Family increased by one member yesterday but I feel the need to announce it anyway. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to beautiful little girl, a princess. A princess; what little girl doesn’t dream about being a princess. I’m so very pleased for the family.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter has a choice of projects to work on; I might do some more hexie work or possibly some fine hand appliqué work or maybe I’ll do some hand quilting. Whatever I do I’ll enjoy it. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
