Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super day. I’ve kept pretty busy all day with one thing and another.
I had an appointment scheduled this morning so while I waited for Susan to arrive I loaded a quilt into my longarm quilting system. I forgot to take a photo so you’ll all have to wait until I have quilted it to see what it’s all about.
Once the quilt was loaded I decided to put something different onto my design wall. It’s good to put some blocks on the design wall and stand back to see what they look like. All too often I appreciate what I see more from a distance. This is what’s on my design was at the moment …..
I must admit that I’m liking what I’ve been working on so far. I’ve got 14 of 25 blocks tacked ready to do the fine hand appliqué stitching. I’m itching to start the hand appliqué but I’m going to try to finish the tacking before I move to the fine hand stitching. I prepped 32 more shapes which is enough to make 8 more blocks. Only 3 more to go and I will have my 25 blocks! I have been using my freezer paper shapes more than once. What’s on your design wall at the moment?
It’s been a really good quiet day in my little world. I worked at my favourite quiet and measured pace. I find that when there’s no stress I enjoy what I’m doing much more. And seeing my blocks on my design wall was really good. It will keep me on track. Seeing a project grow is good for the morale.
I will leave you this evening with an interesting photo that my Sarah found on the internet. This is our Queen Elizabeth having a giggle at Prince Philip’s fancy uniform …..
I think I would probably laugh if I caught my hubby dressed like that too. It could be worse, he could be wearing socks with his sandals!
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will continue working on appliqué blocks. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
