Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve been well sheltered from the wind today. It’s been blowing a hooley here all day. So I didn’t go any further than the rubbish bin in my back garden. It was the perfect day to concentrate on working on Sheila’s quilt.
I disappeared into my sewing room at 8:15am and carried on until the job was finished which just in time to start cooking our evening meal. This quilt will be a wedding gift. I believe that Sheila is a relative newbie to quilt making. And because it’s such a big quilt Sheila decided to bring it to me to layer and longarm quilt. During our consultation meeting and after looking thru my catalogue of quilting designs Sheila decided on Rose Garden by Apricot Moon (one of my favourites!) and a nice fine white thread. This quilt is even better than I thought it would. Sheila supplied 80/20 blend wadding and as you can see it has given us some wonderful texture.
I think that Sheila will be pleased with the result of this quilt and the recipient will treasure it for many years for come.
So it looks like I made up for yesterday’s low productivity level today. Once I finished Sheila’s quilt I went e-shopping for a new quilting design for the next custom quilt I will be doing sometime over the next couple of days. I’m looking forward to start the next quilt. I have a couple of appointments tomorrow so I doubt that I will start stitching tomorrow.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some more appliqué prep work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something enjoyable. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
