Hello my lovelies. I hope you all had a great Wednesday. The sun has been shining like mad here today. And it seems the temperature is slowly rising. Yay …..
It’s been a quiet day in my little world. I had a couple of appointments but in between I did little jobs. I kicked off the day by loading Gail’s quilt into my longarm quilting.
This will be a custom job for which I have purchased a couple of quilting designs that hopefully will do the trick. Then I went on to arrange a doggy holiday for my Maisie which will give me the chance to get out and about this summer. Maisie is a really good natured dog. And I’m sure she will enjoy her holiday but will be really happy to come home when her holiday is over.
Christine popped in after lunch to drop off a quilt top which I will be longarm quilting sometime over the next couple of weeks. Her quilt is a real firecracker. I can’t wait to show you this beauty.
In between my appointments I did a wee printing job. My Japanese Folded Patchwork class is coming up in July and so I needed to compose and print out a requirements list. Well it’s done now.
There’s a bit of excitement in the air in happy longarm quilter manor. That might be because we decided to take the plunge and have a little bit of work done in our bathroom. In short we’re having a new bath installed including an electric shower. We’ve received a quote to do the job but there will be a few extras like flooring as well as a few cosmetic things. So we stepped out to see what’s available regarding the electric showers and flooring. The work won’t be done until the end of the month at the earliest. I must admit that I am a bit apprehensive about having any kind of work done in the house because of course it’s going to cause chaos but once it’s done it will make things better. I will no doubt be moaning about this at the end of the month. I did purchase something useful during my little trip out this afternoon …..
I will be using this during my hand quilting class at Stitchin’ Heaven in July.
So I didn’t get any sewing done today however I’m quite pleased with what I achieved. Life goes on even though I would rather be hiding in my quiet beach hut keeping myself busy by hand sewing some project or other. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow to get what you need out of life.
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be doing some appliqué work. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
