Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a really good productive day. Weeeeeee .…. I feel like I‘ve been flying by the seat of my pants today.
It’s been a busy day in my happy longarm quilter land. I had several appointments, ladies dropping off quilt tops to longarm quilt and a finished one to be collected. And in between the appointments I worked on Lesley’s lovely sampler. Lesley left the choice of quilting designs up to me. So I went for Come Dance with Me by Irene Steele of Timeless Quilting Designs and I stitched it out using a Sahara beige thread which matches beautifully with the background fabric. Lesley’s quilt looks superb. I’m sure she will be pleasantly surprised when she sees it up close and in person. Here’s a little peek …..
I cut strips which I joined together to use as binding. And while my evening meal was cooking I machined the binding on. I’m hoping to hand finish the binding this evening.
So it’s been a very good productive day in my little world. Tomorrow I plan on loading another quilt into my longarm quilting system and I will prepare to spend some time with my beginners on Friday and Saturday at Stitchin’ Heaven. All my beginners have turned into enthusiastic quilt makers. I have been piecing quilts for some twenty years and I’m still as enthusiastic about patchwork and quilting as I was in the very beginning. Although I dabble in many different kinds of crafts, patchwork and quilting is my first love. In fact I think it’s the best therapy there is. Or perhaps it’s an addiction …..
So for this evening, this very happy longarm quilter will be hand finishing the binding on today’s longarm quilting effort. I hope you have a super cosy evening doing something you really enjoy. Until you read me again,
Happy stitching. ♥ ♥
